The layout is called Alsager but has some modeller's licence applied so the former North Staffordshire Railway branch to Sandbach is imagined to join the Crewe line west of town with a shuttle service terminating in a bay platform at the station. There will be a two line coal yard and a small loco shed just past the level crossing.
The locos have been weathered using an airbrush. The backdrop is by ID Backscenes and brickpaper is my own self adhesive product. Since these photos were taken the layout room has been reclaimed for domestic use but I have been promised the attic instead. This will enable the layout to be enlarged and will also mean that there is no need for the duck-under to gain access to the operating area.
