Jim Mangels from up state New York shipped his Whiskey River Railroad boxcar across the Atlantic for a photographic tour of British layouts.
Seen below visiting Bob Hughes's Port Abel (1).

The car stopped off en-route to John Teal's RJR Branchline for a quick visit to the Pennine MRC's Uppermill Show, seen below on Newmarsh Goods (2) with thanks to Brian Mosby for granting track access.

The next stop for Jim's boxcar was on John's On30 garden railway, the RJR Branchline (3). Despite the scale anomaly John managed to shunt WR847230 using a small steam loco as seen in his pictures (below).

From the RJR Branchline the car went south to visit Darren Eckersley's Taw Vale garden railway (4).

A year after first arriving in England WR847230 was returned to Bob and photographed on the smallest layout of its tour, Toadflax Yard (5), before being shipped back to the USA.

The car is seen above on Jim's "Cheshire" diorama (6) after arrival back home.
