Box Strasse (HO) is a German version of Jack Trollope's tried and tested Box Street design. This compact arrangement calls for just a single turnout and a double slip, with the rest of the run round loop being completed off stage in the fiddleyard by cassette, traverser or sector plate.
The two pictures above show an, as yet unnamed, British Railways (Western Region) branch terminus in OO scale.
Lochnagar is a Scottish OO scale branch terminus, set in the BR Blue era when it was still possible to find class 25s, 26s and 27s on local trains north of the border and wagon load traffic was still a valuable source of income.
Nordpunkt (Ruhr) is a split level layout in HO scale. The scene depicts an electrified passenger carrying line on the high level at the rear with a small freight yard in the foreground.
Montgomery (above) and Northpoint (below) are shunting layouts based on North American practice but each has very different scenic treatment.
The layouts are available for model railway shows, though Box Strasse may need some renovation as it has been in storage for some time. Nick is based in Staffordshire, exhibition enquiries are welcome via this email link.
