On-line Model Railway Club

Pattingham & Mount Pleasant by Mike Bragg

I am currently building a new O scale layout, Pattingham, which can be followed on our forum. I also have a OO scale shunting layout as described below.

Mount Pleasant, a Black Country backwater.

Mount Pleasant is purely an exercise in minimum space OO scale layout design. The track plan is not dissimilar to that of Carlton Metals by Neil Ripley. Track work is Peco code 100 and point work operated by Peco point motors via a CDU and probe and stud.

Stock is all commercial though some have been modified, it’s a great excuse to while away time shunting wagons, or should that read “playing Trains.

Skrit Building

There has been some on-line debate about scratch/kit building recently and, although I have scratch built the body and chassis of my 0 gauge 27XX, I have used several commercial fittings/components, so I have coined the term Skrit Building.
