Membership

New members are always welcome, membership of Cheshire Railway Modellers is obtained by registering on our forum. Once registered you will be able to post messages on the forum sharing ideas and advice, seeking help with modelling matters, or just joining in with the general conversation.

All members are invited to contribute to our Virtual Model Railway Exhibition, an on line gallery of layout photographs. Several of our members have layouts which are available for exhibiting at conventional model shows and we also have a modular club layout which can be assembled in numerous different formations as space permits.

The club is Cheshire based and our exhibition calendar concentrates on our local area, but membership is not confined to Cheshire, we have members from around the UK and overseas members as far afield as North America and Australia. If any members wish to advertise a model show local to themselves they are cordially invited to add it to the forum timetable and it will be included on the website's Exhibition Diary page for public viewing.

CRM is an on-line organisation with minimal running costs (see below*) so we do not need to charge membership fees. We do, however, ask that all new members introduce themselves on the forum as we are not a secret society and it would be pleasant to know at least the forenames of our fellow members. Once forum members achieve a predetermined number of posts they may select a railway related job title for their personal profile, supervisory grades are reserved for the forum moderators though and identified by different colours.
