Dave is based in the Mid-Suffolk area and his layouts are available for exhibitions.
Walmington Pier
At the shore end with a Skaledale retaining wall as the end board, sand from Wimereux beach, near Boulogne-sur-Mer, Preiser Edwardian bathers, and Walmington Pier Tram No. 1 (there is only one) converted from a Bachmann San Francisco Cable Car coupled to its always-empty luggage trolley waiting to depart.
This layout has done 45 exhibitions in the past 10 years from Melksham, Wilts. to Southwold, Suffolk and from Aylesham, Norfolk to Folkestone.
Arrival at the pier head with bandstand, Punch & Judy show, Dancing Bear, barrel organ (both obscured, and Pier Diver (with uninvited guest)!
On30 or O16.5?
Following the sale of two HO scale microlayouts Dave has announced that he is to give 7mm scale narrow gauge a try. This page will be updated as the new project progresses.
